Add a burst of flavour with our Wild Vanilla Powder!
Wild Vanilla is a family-owned, organic vanilla farm nestled under the rainforest canopy close to where I live, in the Atherton Tablelands of Far North Queensland. The vanilla is hand-pollinated and harvested, then the beans are cured for a few weeks in a carefully controlled environment, resulting in premium-quality vanilla beans. The cured beans are delivered to our friends at the Yungaburra Raspberry Farm where they are freeze-dried, then finely ground into a gorgeously-fragrant powder. We then pack the powder into pouches in small batches, to ensure you always receive a very fresh product.
This is a pure, premium-quality vanilla powder, so a little goes a long way! Scroll down for usage instructions.
You’ll be blown away by the flavour of this vanilla powder – I have never smelt or tasted any this good!! (And I have used a LOT of vanilla powder over the years, from many different brands!) Most vanilla powder is a mixture of dried, spent beans (beans that have already been used to make extract or essence) with some extract added back in to boost the flavour. That is not how Wild Vanilla Powder is made! It is made purely from high quality beans, freeze-dried to preserve their unique flavour, then finely ground. No added flavours are necessary.
My good friend Bek owns this beautiful farm in the rainforest, and my daughter India is her farm manager. 🙂 It’s been a delight to see Bek’s dream become reality and we are so excited to collaborate on a project which is very close to all of our hearts! We all hope you love it as much as we do.
How to use Wild Vanilla Powder:
As this vanilla powder is of such high quality, you will find that a little goes a long way! For example, in most of recipes I use only 1/4 of a teaspoon of Wild Vanilla Powder to flavour the whole recipe – it’s rare that I need more than that.
- In most recipes that call for ‘vanilla powder’ you can halve the amount
- In recipes that call for ‘vanilla extract’, ‘vanilla paste’ or ‘vanilla essence’ you can quarter the amount
- When I have used this ‘Wild Vanilla Powder’ to create a recipe, I will specify the amount of ‘Wild Vanilla Powder’ to use.
(You can of course adjust amounts to your taste.)
