As you probably know, my favourite water filter system is the zazen system. That’s the water I use at home and in bottles when I’m out and about. But what do you do when you want to refill your bottle while out and there’s no filtered water available, and you really don’t want to buy plastic bottles of water? Or what about when you’re travelling or camping and can’t lug 5 litres of water around with you everywhere you go?? Well, luckily for us, zazen has presented us with an innovative solution that’s a real game-changer – a filtered, self-cleaning water bottle that you can refill on the go!! I’m so excited to be collaborating with zazen and WAATR to bring these amazing filter bottles to Australia. They have been massively popular in the USA, and winning international awards including the “Australia Good Design Award” in 2022! We have been looking for a filtered water bottle of this quality for EVER (it seems!) and I’m so excited to share it with you all!

What is 4D- Purification?

4D Purification™ combines traditional filtration with a time-dependent variable. In a conventional filtration system, water gets treated 3-dimensionally as it travels through the filter’s X, Y, Z planes with no significant time-dependent variable. In the 4D Purification™ system, the UVC treatment system adds significant time-dependent purification before the water gets further purified 3-dimensionally in the filter cartridge system.

UV-C Purification

Over the years, several scientific studies show the effectiveness of UV light in disinfecting surfaces. Most recently, scientists discovered a particular portion of this UV spectrum, UVC, having maximum germicidal efficacy. With the very meager power of this UVC, one could disinfect a surface more effectively than traditional high-power UV systems. the Waatr products use this particular region of the UV spectrum to achieve the maximum neutralizing effect against a wide variety of bacteria, viruses, and pathogens.

Charcoal + Ion-Exchange Resin Filtration

PUREMAX 4D filter cartridge system consists of a proprietary blend of coconut charcoal and ion-exchange resin. Coconut charcoal is a highly porous organic material designed to capture organic molecules and chlorine effectively. Ion-exchange resin is a spherical porous bead resin material designed to exchange ions (inorganics) in the water for other Ions fixed in the resin. This process is very effective in reducing the hardness of the water.

Is tilting the bottle to drink necessary?

Yes, tilting is required as water has to pass through the filter using gravity and a little bit of suction force. Because of the floating design of the filter. Which was intentionally created to avoid reverse contamination (RC). RC is a major drawback of all the filters in the market. They sit inside the water, and over time they reserve contaminate the water.

Does PureMax 4D kill NTM from the water?

UV-c light highly effective against NTM. We tested the NTM strain using one of our other model (crazyCap Pro), and results were exceptional. PureMax 4D is 100X more stronger than CrazyCap Pro. So the performance is 100X better. Access the lab test results.

Will there be any indication on the bottle to change the filter?

There is no indication on this version of Waatr, but we can incorporate it on the next one!

How do I purchase the replacement Filter Cartridges?

You can purchase 1 or 3 extra filters with your bottle, alternatively you can buy packs of 1 or 3 separately here. We stock the Artesian Filter Cartridges only.
